Superstar Rajinikanth on Thursday devoted the celebrated Dada Saheb Phalke Award introduced by the Centre to be conferred on him to those who made him what he’s now, together with a bus driver pal and his mentor who launched him in cinema, the late Okay Balachander. Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar had introduced on Thursday that Rajinikanth can be bestowed with the Dada Saheb Phalke award for the 12 months 2019, making him the third from Tamil cinema after the late thespian Sivaji Ganesan and late director Balachander, his mentor, to have been chosen for the award.

Congratulating the actor over telephone, Palaniswami mentioned the Dada Saheb Phalke Award recognises his onerous work within the movie business.

PMK chief and former union minister Dr Anbumani Ramadoss congratulated the famous person.
