Indian Forest Service officer Parveen Kaswan’s first wage was Rs 8,000 a month. It was the scholarship he obtained whereas attending the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bengaluru, the IFS officer revealed in a tweet which has taken Twitter customers on a visit down reminiscence lane, reminiscing about their first wage and first job.
Mr Kaswan took to Twitter this morning to recall one of many “happiest moments” of his life – the time he was chosen for a Masters programme at IISc. “On this day many years back. One of the happiest moment when I was selected for IISc masters with 8000 per month scholarship. First salary you can say,” he wrote.
Mr Kaswan then requested his Twitter followers to disclose their first stipend or wage – and the query sparked off a Twitter thread stuffed with nostalgia. “What was your first stipend/salary in life,” requested Mr Kaswan.
