Honda Cars’ March sales at 7,103 units

Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL) on Thursday reported home sales of 7,103 units in March.

The firm had offered 3,697 units in the identical month final 12 months when sales had been impacted by the nationwide lockdown resulting from COVID-19.

The firm mentioned its home sales stood at 82,074 units throughout 2020-21, whereas exports had been at 5,131 units. In 2019-20, HCIL had offered 1,02,016 units within the home market and exported 3,826 units.

“Buoyant customers have injected fresh vigour in the market and we are striving to sustain the growth momentum in future,” Goel mentioned.

However, he mentioned the provision constraints as a result of persevering with international scarcity of semi-conductors has impacted the corporate’s manufacturing quantity and dispatches significantly for Honda City in March 2021.

“We will continue to make efforts towards restoring normalcy and hope this issue gets resolved at the earliest,” he added.
