Experimental Study on the Thermal Behavior of Exterior Coating Textures of Building in Hot and Arid Climates

The constructing envelope is the barrier between the inside and exterior environments. It has many necessary capabilities, together with defending the inside house from the climatic variations via its envelope supplies and design components, in addition to discount of power consumption and bettering indoor thermal consolation. Furthermore, exterior constructing sidings, in addition to their aesthetic look, can have helpful textures for decreasing photo voltaic beneficial properties and offering good thermal insulation efficiency. This analysis examined and evaluated the impact of exterior siding texture and geometry on power efficiency. For this goal, a discipline in situ testing and investigation of floor temperature was carried out on 4 samples (take a look at containers) with completely different exterior textures and completely different orientations, underneath the local weather zone of Constantine–Algeria throughout the summer time interval. The outcomes indicated important dependability between the exterior texture geometry, the proportion of shadow projected, and exterior floor temperature. The second half of the analysis concerned an analogous method, exploring the impact of three varieties of particles with the similar look however with completely different thermal traits. It was concluded that the pure plant aggregates “palm particles” had the greatest efficiency, which contributed to a big discount of exterior floor temperature reaching 4.3 °C, which meant reducing the power consumption.
